SBS Roofing Systems

Elevate SBS Modified Bitumen Roofing Systems deliver exceptional flexibility and durability, even in extreme cold. Using proprietary rubber-based polymer technology with select asphalt compounds, these membranes are designed to resist thermal and structural movement while maintaining long-term strength. Available in smooth or granule surfaces and multiple thicknesses, SBS membranes can be installed with self-adhered technology, hot asphalt, cold adhesive, heat welding, or mechanically fastened.

Reinforced with fiberglass for added stability and a polyester mat for elongation, SBS membranes provide movement and flexibility that help resist punctures and tears. Together, these features ensure lasting performance and reliability across a wide range of roofing applications.

Self-adhered SBS roofing systems provide a flame-free asphalt solution designed to help support safer jobsite conditions, faster installation, and greater installation confidence on projects where jobsite control and building occupancy are critical. These systems deliver the durability and redundancy of SBS modified bitumen roofing, while helping to simplify installation and reduce risk for today’s commercial environments.

GRANULE ADHESION

Elevate’s mod-bit granule adhesion performs three times better than the ASTM standard maintaining its protective properties from UV damage, environmental exposure and physical impacts extending the overall life of the roof.

FLEXIBILITY IN LOW TEMPERATURES

Proprietary elastomeric blends of polymers combined with select grades of refined asphalt provide exceptional durability, flexibility, and strength even in temperatures below 0º F.

INNOVATIVE REINFORCEMENT

Reinforced polyester and fiberglass mat adds strength, puncture resistance, dimensional stability and flexibility.

As part of our SBS Premium portfolio, we also offer multiple system options featuring 3M™ Smog-Reducing Granules. These specialized granules incorporate a photocatalytic coating layer that is activated by sunlight to help transform smog pollution (nitrogen oxides, NOx) into water-soluble salts—a process that helps improve air quality while contributing to more sustainable building practices. Inspired by the strength of nature, 20,000 square feet of roofing materials with 3M™ Smog-Reducing Granules have the smog-fighting power of 120 trees*.
